The first from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime says the service is amongst the top three most corrupt institutions accounting for the 53.2 per cent of all bribes were paid in 2021 just days after the findings were released, another survey, The Afro Barometer report says 65 per cent of Ghanaians believe that the foremost law enforcement agency is the most corrupt The situation is beginning to question the high approval ratings of the Inspector General of Police Dr George Akufo Dampare who promised to change the narrative of corruption in the Ghana police service.
